In our Healing Diets class we dialogue, discuss, ask questions, explore addictions, cravings, hunger, desire, habits, culture, expectations as we create amazing delicious raw organic vegan transitional meals - seed and rice milks beautifully spiced with cinnamon, cardamon and blended with bananas or blueberries or chia seeds - quinoa or cabbage as a base for blending a raw toss of sprouts and herbs and make a most full delicious salad. On the last day - profoundly therapeutic energy soup - with sprinkles of fresh herbs, diced red pepper and dulse with lemon and salt. Healing Diets made delicious, fun creative, and we also watch depth truth documentaries on food politics, culture and truth!!!
Pulsing between dynamic dialoge question interactions, preparing foods in the kitchen and documentaries such as FORKS OVER KNIVES, FOOD MATTERS, EATING RAVE DIET, CRAZY SEXY CANCER & LET ME BE FRANK - our ideas and attitudes transform from taste choice to thoughtful conscious discrimination. Does this food take me to my highest goal? is the question. We become aware of how foods affect us, how they make us feel, and whether they are good for us. My daughter Bonny Casel filmed our last day!
BETH: “What an amazing and eye-opening class! My taste buds awakened as I learned the role food plays in healing our bodies. We choose each time we shop for food – will we choose food that gives us nutrients and supports a whole and healthy earth, or will we choose ill health and destruction? I choose love, health, vitality and wholeness! Thank you!” Longmont, Colorado
JESSICA: “I now know how to live a healthy lifestyle and be happy about it. It feels great to go to the store and know what to buy to make delicious healthy food. I am excited to see where I go with healing diets and who I can inspire. I will spend time and love on my food and appreciate what it can give me.” Golden, Colorado
APRIL: “Farida’s HD I class is full of taste, color, texture and fun...to the fullest, taking learning to a different level with nearly all hands-on and experiential processes. Not only is my learning experience maximized but I had a blast in the process. I love the fact that I get to enjoy learning and that I always look forward to class time!” Longmont, Colorado
ANTONIA: “Healing Diets has brought to the forefront my level of self love, self worth and self respect. I am getting in touch with how I feed myself and know now it is directly connected to how I love myself. Say hello to your resistance. Say hello to your beliefs. Say hello to your limits and your blind spots and your judgements. How we choose to eat and nourish ourselves has a pull deeper than the surface of ‘What’s for breakfast?’ I am so grateful for the dialogue and exploration this class has given me. I love the challenge to my boundaries and the limitless love that is possible through deeper understanding of food and how we nourish ourselves.” Denver, Colorado
GRETCHEN: “HD was the most perfect way to begin my studies at the School of Natural Medicine because it inspired me to re-evaluate my diet on another level. Having done personal research and figured out my own way to eat healthy, this class gave me the structure to more clearly evaluate why healthy eating habits are important, and it also gave me the support to feel comfortable with my struggles in that realm, which is extremely necessary to grow positively. I appreciate the laid=back approach to such a controversial topic, because it left room for me to understand myself and my culture, whole remaining objective. I know I will be making the recipes in the future and I am so grateful to add them to my growing recipe library.” Boulder, Colorado
DAKOTA: “HD put a new spin on the way I view food, animals and what we are doing to the world with our food choices. I already knew about the meat companies but I was not aware of how much dairy plays a part in illness. I never realized why being a vegan is so important. It is like our country not only wants to poison us but also abuse animals and promote bad health. I wish people could understand this goes beyond personal like and dislikes and that living off a plant based diet can literally SAVE THE WORLD!!! Because of this class I learned a lot about cooking and how to LOVE your food. The message is RESPECT ALL LIFE!! Minnesota - Dakota and Peregrine (Perry) are sisters!!
PEREGRINE: “This is my first step to getting my life together and a great intro to the how and why of switching to a vegan lifestyle. I have only experienced this for four days but I already feel less sick in the morning and less irritable during the day. I know my life will improve ten-fold if I stick to a vegan gluten-free diet and if I succeed in beating food addictions, my life will actually be clear. It was important to watch the documentaries to bring the message home about how deep the impact is to realize how far humans are disconnected from animals and the earth and life in general. I’m excited to come back for Healing Diets II, and other classes, especially Iridology.” Minnesota
ANA: "Living at my parent's house at the same time as taking this class for the second time opened the grace of giving me the chance to see and experience two very opposite realities at the same time. Eating the nourishing, sustaining, mineral dense rainbow palate of foods allowed my True inner light being to radiate, embodied and shining, as my sensitivities fook flight into infinity. I see clearer, multi-dimensionally, lighter and happier. My essence is shining brighter, and I am more grounded, gracious and delicate although stronger physically, mentally and emotionally. I feel like the eye of the storm. Instead of feeling the desire to run away screaming, 'I just want a place of quiet and peace', I checked into my inner light and in turn saw the beauty and divine order admist the chaos and noise. I feel myself again, strong, courageous, empowered and able to thrive amidst others on a different path and on this crazy planet." Boulder, Colorado
