SNM GRAD JOURNEY FROM GRATEFUL DEAD FOLLOWER TO AUTHENTIC LIVING EXAMPLE OF HEALTHY LIVING

Dearest Amy, School of Natural Medicine Naturopathy Graduate, was following the Grateful Dead when she saw my Herbs of Grace book in Taos, New Mexico, in the bookstore run by another SNM Grad and recognized me as her teacher. She called her mom, and they met in Boulder and came to see me and her mom signed Amy up for everything the school offered. Amy of the clear loving heart, large open eyes, and sweet nature had a dream for a life of truth. After her studies she apprenticed and worked as my assistant in the school for a couple of years.

When I met her the first day I asked her to tell me about her life goals, and aside from wanting to be a healer and live a healthy life she said she wanted to marry an Indian. This dream came true during her studies when I took a group of students to a sweat lodge and she met her future husband. They married in style, her in a buckskin dress, and he in full regalia, and when they moved back to North Carolina to be with her family, they hosted their own sweat lodges and ceremonies. Amy still visits the yearly sun dance in Colorado and when I talked to her recently she said she did the dance this year, instead of acting support as she had for years.

Amy is a practitioner, teacher, leader, authentic healer having accomplished profound self healing and transformation both during and after her studies. I have a special place in my heart for Amy and she feels like a daughter. This picture I share during the Air Heart Chakra Elements dance in a Summer school in 1998 was when she experienced an angel coming into her and bestowing angel wings. Amy is a true angel in human form and those she nurtures and supports are fortunate she found a path of loving service. Love you dearly beautiful Amy. NEW GRADUATE IN LOVELAND, COLORADO

Daniel Garza entered School of Natural Medicine in 2004 when he signed up for the Master Herbalist course and attended summer school in Boulder, Colorado with Farida Sharan. Everyone was always delighted when Daniel attended study groups and gatherings because his is just a fun pleasant guy with a deep sense of professionalism. As a body worker he is busy and his wife runs the practice and as he integrated the herbal studies into his practice all his clients received an iris reading and an herbal formula.

Daniel also plays in a fusion rock band at night and is as honorable son who visits his parents for coffee every morning. He is also great fun to dance with. We also hear of his car racing and he drove me home after the Tea and Gathering in Boulder on the 4th of October in his truck with immense wheels - fun! I love to learn about all the different sides of a student's life. Daniel is now interested to move on and develop as a teacher.This is what makes a good life. Good strong family connections. Work you love. Goals that inspire you. Play that you enjoy to give fullness to your life. Congratulations Daniel.

SNM GRADUATE INSPIRES WITH TEAM WEALTH CONFERENCES

Cezanna Malter, School of Natural Medicine Naturopathy graduate has created her own amazing inspirational niche by combining her talents, gifts and studies into a unique offering. I first met Cezanna in Boulder over twenty years ago when she came as a client to build health with self-healing. We also became friends and I would see her from time to time in Colorado or India.

When I joined Young Living as a distributor I discovered she was second in my upline and offered great support with conference calls for abundance and transformation.  I invited her for lunch one day when I was in California and just casually as she left she said, "You know, I've always wanted to study Naturopathy." I was writing Flower Child at the time and thought I would have a break from giving a Summer School in Colorado but soon she had enrolled and brought another eleven students with her so we had a most wonderful group with others that joined.

Cezanna introduced the oils at the next summer school, attended the Living Food Teacher Training with our Naturopathy students at the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico and also the Frankincense Deep Sea Water Transformation seminar with the SNM group on Kohala on Big Island in Hawaii before graduating as a Naturopath. Everywhere Cezanna goes she is helping those around her.

Just recently I joined a series of conference calls with Cezanna to participate in her Team Wealth processes and they have been amazing. Cezanna offers abundant inspiration and support through her San Rafael California groups, conference calls and personal sessions. She is guiding a group to the YLO Conference this coming weekend. I am so grateful to be part of this network. My immediate upline support is Malaika, another long term friend, who focuses on support in the business building part of YLO. We are all so blessed by these oils.

I am packing to leave Vancouver and my bike fell over and gouged two hole and tore the skin completely off two small places on my right forearm. I immediately went for medicinal grade YLO lavender and poured it on, stung a little, more later, immediately closed over, pain free, healing beautifully, wouldn't be without Lavender, and from past experience with burns I know it will not leave a scar either. Previous post last month on how I healed an abcess and dying nerve without pain and swelling with Frankincense and Thieves. Endless stories and miracles - the way life should be and is when you have these oils nearby - also for emotional and mental stresses. I bathe in them every morning and evening.

SNM GRAD MANIFESTS MAGNIFICENT CREATIVITY IN UTAH

Renelle came to Summer School some years ago while nursing two twins and attended her School of Natural Medicine Naturopathy Living Foods Training at the Ann Wigmore Institute with me a couple of years later nursing another set of twins. She was never late to class, studied with a passion while taking care of many other children, and has been creative and courageous in every aspect of her life, family, work, community and personal offerings. Every time I hear from her it is a tale of miracles. Enjoy meeting one of SNM's Natural Physician graduates. Here is the news she recently sent me:

Thank you, My dearest Farida, for being the perfect teacher for me. I am so grateful you have created a school and teaching method that allows for the diversity of human gifts and inspiration. I am so grateful that your focus never was about making money, or being the “cool” school, just teaching truth genuinely and powerfully in a way that awakens within oneself the latent gifts of God. In so doing, however, you place people in a position to make incredible amounts of money if they so choose. I feel graced and blessed to have been directed to you on this amazing journey. I think of the simplicity of things you taught that have come through in many areas like:

1. Become a detective; so few people ‘think’, so as we are looking for the whole picture of what is going on with them it is interesting how time and time again, out of their own mouths, or in their bodies (usually both) one finds the real reason they are stuck, and what is needed to move them forward.

2. Talking about the micro and macro of a movement or concept. I am often relating this in seminars in helping people connect the dots to where they are, and where we are as a world with the micro and macro manifestation of our thoughts and actions.

3. Dancing the elements....  we are all made of the same energy, and are either in harmony, one with, or out of balance.  It is amazing how even the Fen Shu of our homes is a like unto of how the elements are playing out in our lives.

4. A recent example: I had a fun experience the other day with my sister, Danet, who lives in Albuquerque.  She crashed her scooter, and her ankle was infected. With your antibiotic formula on it and in her system, the next morning the infectious mound was almost well. She was greatly and pleasantly surprised and grateful.  Simple. Powerful. Truth.  It’s like I say, “Prove the word; live it!”

To boil it all down, I am living in the present in a way that brings me such extreme joy and peace.  I feel a deep desire to open the minds and hearts of people to really understand that they are God’s children in a very literal way.  Made in His/Her holy image, and as such, can open to the ability to transform this planet into one of light. When you ask Renelle what she is doing this is her answer: mega creative courageous loving joyful abundance in all things, grand visions and the practical steps to make them happen. Besides her 9 children she is very involved in her practice, teaching and community.

My children are my great joy, and on going purifiers.  We have begun toning both at night before we go to bed, and also in the morning, or when there has been a quarrel.  Interesting to note, how all of us hitting the same note, and reaching resonance, brings us all back into peace and oneness. This, my friend, is what makes what I am learning the most pleasurable for me, is to see my children utilize the knowledge in a way that begins to take hold of their own hearts. 

SNM TEACHINGS, HAHNEMAN & HOMEOPATHY

When School of Natural Medicine was in the UK in the 70's & 80's many homeopathy students attended to learn Iridology & Natural Medicine & I was invited to teach in the Homeopathy college in northern England.

After one training, the Director of the Northern School of Homeopathy paid this compliment after I had presented my information on purification, regeneration and transformation, "Hahneman would never have needed to develop homeopathy if people lived according to these truths."  It is also true that he became more interested in naturopathy and natural health during the last part of his life. 

 Meet Roger Savage, MA, ARCM, ARCO, RSA, DipTEFL , one of the UK students from my first Iridology & Natural Medicine classes in Cambridge England in January 1977. Roger also attended conferences and seminars at the University of Cambridge when I brought Dr. Jensen, Dr. Christopher, Willy Hauser and Harri Wolf to England. He made a special connection with Harri, as he is also a homeopath.

Roger had his sixtieth birthday recently and I was reminded of his journey from piano teacher to  a homeopath who is a member of the Royal Society of Homeopaths. So beautiful to follow the destinies of those who begin this work. Over the years he has proved a kind and dear friend and I am most fond of him. Happy birthday Roger. 

One of the reasons homeopathy works more quickly and effectively with most children is that their systems are clearer and less toxic. I always found homeopathy worked better after clients had completed a three month program of purification and regeneration with herbal, tissue salts, flower essences, healing diets and naturopathy treatments. Simple truth.

SNM GRADUATE CHERISHES A COMMUNITY VISION

School of Natural Medicine Naturopathy graduate, Anna Lloyd, became a mother after her training and graduation and keeps the teachings alive in her life with self healing and a small practice. She also works part time as a scientist in a lab. Anna also received her Living Foods Teacher Training at the Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico with the SNM Naturopathy purification and regeneration retreat several years ago. Now she envisions an integrated future on her land with her family in Maryland:  a healing and supportive community.

"Hi Farida, thanks so much for your supportive reply.  I do practice, but I feel like I need to work more on a community level rather than one-on-one, which is why I'm developing the concept of a living community.

My idea has as much to do with my spiritual vision, as with my healing work, especially as it relates to children, family and community. Raising a child who learns differently in this society can be a challenge, so I see a need for a community-based alternative school, though not exclusive to one spiritual path. I envision more a learning environment based on the principles that are universal to most of us who lean towards earth-centered worship.

With such a school as a nucleus, my hope is to develop a living community which would be a combination of learning center, retreat, co-op, nature center, and village; with a future vision to trade in services like counseling/consulting or artisan products. The community would be based on sustainable living practices and serve as an example of such.  What has come through overwhelmingly for me is that people are too isolated and have come too far from the village mentality.  Many of the people who come to me for healing advice have this isolation in common, myself included when I was struggling.  It's almost as if we are all missing pieces of each other.

A MUCH LOVED STUDENT FROM DENVER, COLORADO

I am thrilled Heidi Jarvis, School of Natural Medicine graduate, is founding Colorado School of Holistic & Naturopathy Studies as a loving and grounded portal for past, present and future students of School of Natural Medicine and to offer trainings to attract new students seeking a quality school with personal attention based on self healing.

Just as I was feeling all these lovely feelings of happy gratitude our dearly beloved graduate Senakhu from Denver posted all these photos on Facebook and I just have to share them. The photo above with her husband shows on the right her iris mandala from summer school.

Senakhu attended many gatherings and classes, always showing up with her beautiful colors and strength of presence to share her self healing, progress in her practice and stories of her healing sessions with parents and grandparents. She also extended her loving service into the community with her spiritual studies, healing practice, music and dance and is a most wonderful mother of two daughters. Senakhu we salute you and I am so happy the teachings will continue in Colorado and you will be a part of our classes and gatherings and share teachings once more for the benefit of all.

Saturday I felt a deep connection with the totem poles in British Columbia, land of my birth, as I walked through the steel towers of Vancouver and reported on my experience below. On my Farida Sharan Facebook I asked friends to write their totem pole and here is dear Christine Agro's totem.

I remember her many years ago coming to the School of Natural Medicine, a bright corporate fund raiser for the Denver Symphony. NEW SNM IRIDOLOGY GRADUATE IN COLORADO, USA

School of Natural Medicine Iridology & Reflexology new graduate William Fanning of Boulder, Colorado is a uniquely evolved student, practitioner and educator!!  As a teacher I love how each student enjoys their study process and finds their way to graduation in their own time and way because they have the freedom of choice and space to learn in the way most meaningful to them, but Bill is something special both in terms of his contribution to SNM and his evolution as living example of the teachings, educator and practitioner.

SNM FIRST APPRENTICE FROM 1970'S & 80'S IN THE UK

School of Natural Medicine UK was blessed with its first apprentice, Cathy, in 1978, in Cambridge, England. Cathy is one of my dearest friends of my lifetime, though we haven't seen each other for some years. She called me up in the late 1970's and brought her daughter in to see me because she was having digestive and nervous symptoms. When this resolved itself she appeared again to ask if she could come a day a week to help and learn and thus the universe bestowed an angel in my life.

PIC - I am holding the flowers and Cathy is on my right - she has a head of curly black hair. This picture is a wonderful piece of history of the school. I love to show students a powerpoint of all the classes and student groups from 1976 onwards - amazing to me all the different students from all over the world and how they have gone on to do wonderful things. There are some other wonderful graduates there too, Peter Enkel who bought Herbs of Grace when I left England, Roger Savage now a renowned homeopath, Vicki Pitman, an herbal author and teacher, and others I just can't recall anymore.

Our relationship continued over many years and when I moved from Coton to a larger home/clinic/teaching space in Lolworth, she still came along, and several other apprentices joined, so often we had a joyful group of 3 - 5 women there learning, helping and building the school and Herbs of Grace pharmacy. Vicki Pitman, now author, teacher, practitioner, in the UK was an apprentice, as was a medical doctor, Caroline Kooy, now in China. I remember Anna now in New Zealand, and also others. What a wonderful time we had.

During the Lolworth days, Cathy's daughter Kim, fell on a gas heater and the skin tore off, leaving a third degree burn. Though her husband was an air force pilot he trusted us to use the burn and wound paste and treat her over six weeks (and the treatment was painless and without any infection) and when I saw Kim when she was 16 there was not a trace of a scar or mark of the burn!!! Cathy also treated a neighbor on the verge of a heart attack and opened the connection for me to work in a medical clinic for several years in London and have Dr. Shirley Bond of Kensington and Harley Street as a teacher and patron of our School of Natural Medicine UK.

Cathy came to the first Summer School in 1988 in Boulder, Colorado, and visited twice again over the years. Never have I met a more kind and fine person and I feel privileged to have such a friend. She got in touch lately and her note brought tears to my eyes. I plan to find a way to visit one day soon.

I knew you when you began the school in England and I am always amazed at the ease with which you move into different cycles. I still help friends and family when I can and they are receptive. NEW SNM GRADUATE RADIATES THE TEACHINGS

School of Natural Medicine student, Christopher Whyrick from Washington DC, graduates this week during the Essential Oils Therapist training in Vancouver BC as a Natural Physician, Naturopath, Master Herbalist & Master Herbalist.

Chris enrolled in the school in 1996, committing to the studies of Self-Healing (he is a superb enthusiast who takes his herbs, teas and living and raw foods into his work in a government agency in Washington DC), Iridology, Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy and along the way became fascinated by deep and long studies of Polarity Therapy and Cranial Sacral Bodywork.

Congratulations dear Chris. What a pleasure to have such an enthusiastic and dedicated student as a new graduate. Chris also attended one of the Puerto Rico Living Food Teacher Training & Naturopathy Retreats with my SNM student group some years ago and truly is a living example of the teachings of the natural way of life. Chris comments in an email from the airport as he returns to his home near the White House.

"Oh where to start .. how about with the word "magic".  You see, Magic is what we call a process that appears to defy the natural functions of nature.  There's truly nothing  magical about magic.  Because we can't explain it doesn't make it magic.  but on it's face, it appears miraculous.  Well that's what I have to say about your  classes.  They are pure magic.  but of course magic really doesn't exist but what happened in class did appear to defy the natural order.  Energy moving, trauma being released by the simple application of a lonely ole' essence of some flowering plant.  The heart opening up...excess fire dissipating in a matter of minutes.  Back and head pain..here one minute, gone the next instant.  Well on the face, these would appear to be a thing of magic.  When we open our minds up to the subtleties of the natural world, then we don't react with a sense of awe...we begin to understand that this is how things really work.  Case in point for the glory of natural medicine.  it works because it follows the natural order. 

Now, nevertheless, there was magic happening in class.  And the oils were only one aspect...I call the other 'magic' the 'Farida Effect.'  And why do I call it this?  Because every class I've had with Farida (and its been a few) has culminated in a week of magic happening.  And what more can I say?  Bless you for another walk into the realm of natural magic and essential oils. "

SNM GRAD'S BOOK "GOING GREEN - the Smoothie Way!

School of Natural Medicine Naturopath, Master Iridologist and Master Herbalist, Betty Sue O'Brian from the New Orleans area, was an ideal student who has gone far in just a few years as a creative innovator in her field. Head of a university department, she was academic as well as a self-healer dedicated to living the path. As she headed toward retirement she built a practice, lectured, went on the radio, attended further trainings and conferences and created success. Some time ago she co-authored an interesting book on Iridology and now she has added "GOING GREEN - the Smoothie Way!" to her list of books.

When Betty Sue came along in 2003 to one of my living raw food naturopathy two week retreats I hosted every year at the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico ( my group took over the entire institute and I adjusted the programs for more free time in the day and added in Mystic Yoga in the early mornings and elemental dance and emotional processing and fun in the evenings. She also brought her sister who was suffering from  a serious condition and YES she was cured during her stay there. All students attending prepared for three months on their Self Healing with a purification diet so that they would be able to have a great time while learning to be a Living Foods Teacher and living on energy soup, seed and nut milks, seed cheeses, salads and fruit - and we did. SNM GRAD CREATES NEW ZEALAND HERB TEA COMPANY

Shanti studied in the Boulder School of Natural Medicine and emigrated to New Zealand where she married in Golden Bay. She graduated as a Naturopath, Master Herbalist and Master Iridologist and established a practice that also included her own herbal teas and reflexology. Last year she birthed a beautiful baby girl and continues to create her loving world of health, healing in a beautiful natural environment. I visited her a couple of years ago and had a wonderful time enjoying the hills and beaches and meeting her friends.

I am thrilled Shanti is developing her herbal company and excited she wants to use my picture for her Wise Woman Tea - an honor indeed. Love you dearly Shanti and so proud of all you have accomplished and the beautiful life you have co-created with your family in New Zealand. Here is her letter. I had fun sorting through pictures and the one I love is below - taken in Hawaii where I was guiding a Frankincense deep sea water cleanse and I am burning Frankincense on lava stones. I hope this finds you well and enjoying nature in summer.  Winter is beautiful here, clear sunny days, snow in the mountains, the sea is still as glass and the Earth rests. Absolutely gorgeous. During this winter inward time, I am currently brainstorming on many fronts.

I am looking for more "emotive" pictures for each of my teas.  Something much much better than just a picture of the bag of tea with a white background. That was really only temporary. One of my tea blends is called 'Wise Woman' so of course i thought of you! You are such a beautiful and inspiring Wise Woman who has added so much to my life and my current work. I am wondering if I would be able to use a picture of you for this tea. It would be used in some  way on the Wise Woman page on my website also. I need to play around with ideas and pictures. I know I have seen many beautiful pictures that you have sent through via email and on the blog and website. I was thinking a picture of you and your lovely flowing silver hair somewhere out in beautiful natural surroundings.

NEW NATUROPATHY GRADUATE IN PHILIPPINE RETREAT

School of Natural Medicine new Naturopath Graduate, LeeAnn Cruz, lives on Malapacao Island and is the Founder and Director of Private Island Retreat, in Palawan, Philippines, far south in the land of thousands of islands, a place of pilgrimage for adventurous seekers of health and healing who enjoy the rustic lifestyle of living in beach huts and experiencing simple protocols that produce results. Evening fires on the beach and many hours staring at the beautiful views made me sigh with contentment.

LeeAnn inspired me to visit her Malapacao island retreat center twice, first on my own when I came to guide her Naturopathy training, and then again with five of my students, three from my Iceland student group and two Boulder, Colorado students. Tarah, a Boulder student, graduated from her Natural Physician training after five years of study and self healing, while on her visit there and loved to swim around the island every day. While there I also got involved in helping her upgrade her retreat with help with her website, promotion, legalities and cleansing programs. I also met with local El Nido government officials and agreed to become a Director of Private Island in an advisory capacity.

Guests fly from Manila on a small plane to El Nido on Palawan Island and then take an hour catamaran trip to Malapacao Island. While rustic living is not for everyone, if you are game to participate in your own self healing and are able to enjoy a very peaceful island, this is an adventure worth exploring. Congratulations, LeeAnn, for being a warrior woman of 20 years, for creating your paradise and being strong enough to withstand all challenges to make it endure and thrive. GRADUATE MYSPACE SITE A LIVING LOVE DELIGHT

Check out School of Natural Medicine's Naturopath Graduate Summer's MySpace for a treat. Summer branched out into Living Foods and Raw Foods since attending the Puerto Rico Naturopathy & Living Food Teacher Training in Puerto Rico with me a few years ago where she created a magnificent giant sand mermaid and gifted everyone at the graduation with reflexology tools gathered from nature and anointed with oils - offerings of a divine goddess.

Raising her children in Asheville, North Carolina, creating a garden and sharing the teachings offers a full life. Summer just came and spent five days with me in Vancouver recently for a One on One Healing Immersion. Summer is a soul sister, a daughter, and a dear friend. Love and blessings to one who walks her talk.

Her last creation before visiting me was sponsoring a huge raw event for David Wolfe for over 200 attendees. Her menu sounds like gourmet heaven. However she did learn that although there is a lot of hype and buzz around living and raw food it doesn't take into account the depths of self healing and personal evolution. SNM STUDENT MANAGES LUXURY SPA IN BANGKOK

 School of Natural Medicine advanced Naturopathic student, Nikki, is now manager of a world class rooftop Grand Hyatt Erawan i.sawan pure spa on Sukhumvit in Bangkok.

She heard me speaking to someone in a healing center in Bangkok a few years back and asked who I was and immediately signed up for a Self Healing program and attended my Thailand trainings. She came along to Summer School, and that year Yui, Katherine and Patrick also attended from Bangkok. Yui owns and manages the beautiful Rasayana Spas in Thailand, and the one near Sukhumvit just off Soi 39 has a beautiful organic raw food restaurant.

Anyway Nikki met Yui and got a job immediately as a Spa Manager at Rasayana, then got hired by the Naturopath who used to run the Chiva Som spa to help create a cutting edge medi spa, then got spun away by a world class roof top luxury spa on Sukhumvit. This picture was taken at the Spa Asia conference in Manila. I had just returned from a 5 day stay at the beautiful retreat center at The Farm and there was beautiful Nikki, all groomed for the ultimate corporate first class hotel position. Some students click in so fast to their destiny once they being in the school their careers just take off. Her self healing by the way was magnificent!

ANOTHER SNM GRADUATE CREATES AN INSPIRING LIFE

Indie Wolf, a beloved School of Natural Medicine graduate, has created her own inspirational Life Coach and Healing world of Inspiration and Love. When I first met Indie she was spending a lot of time nurturing wolves rescued from the wild, and in turn I nurtured her through her self-healing and studies in the School of Natural Medicine programs over several years, including her coming to the Naturopathy Purification and Regeneration Programs in Puerto Rico twice and participating deeply in Self Healing & Mystic Yoga, it is a joy to see what Indie has created from her many talents and loving presence.

Indie is featured on the seven minute film I made with Bill Fanning, another SNM Grad, as a gift to the Ann Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico, as her radiant smile is inspiration itself.

SNM GRAD CREATING WORLD HEALTH FRANCHISE

School of Natural Medicine graduate, Gary Jackson from Perth Australia, is in Vancouver for two weeks to host his BloodScan training.

I dropped into Gary's last day of training to experience the blood scan and meet his students  - a group of acupuncturists. Everything the scan turned up I already knew and was in process with but one surprise - the anemia I always had when I was raised in Vancouver had surfaced again. Not surprising - as all conditions are in resonance with hereditary, climate, cultural and personal influences - and I have found myself diving deep here with family memories, karmic root release (dont you love that phrase!) all in the depth of being. Yes, it is true, i am still fascinated by my own personal evolution, continuous physical re-creation and self-healing.

Looking forward to hearing more as his concept of testing and creating naturopathy programs from one drop of blood and monitoring clients for a year is catching on in the medical community.

SNM GRAD - HEALTH WORLD DOMINATION GOALS

School of Natural Medicine Graduate, Gary Jackson from Perth, Australia, is teaching his patented BloodScan work in Vancouver, B.C., and we got together yesterday for breakfast and a long talk. Gary attended Summer School in Boulder with me about six years ago and graduated some time later as a Natural Physician.

From the beginning Gary entered into the studies with enthusiasm, healed a chronic illness on the Self Healing program, transformed his professional life and developed his visions. It is fun and wonderful to learn what he has created in person, though he always kept in touch via email and phone to share his continuing creative journey to bring a system of naturopathic health to a larger audience. Between his travels and mine it took a while to be in the same city at the same time let along the same country.

Gary is the creator of the BloodScan patented blood analysis systems, and the founder, present and creator of the PikLife weight loss and life style program.  During his training this past week in Vancouver he did a New York radio show and when the interviewer asked him about his work goals Gary said, with usual humor, "world domination." What a great goal, world domination of healthy people.

Next Friday, the last day of his Vancouver training with a group of acupuncturists, I will visit his seminar and experience the work. I had blood tests in November in the Nova Vita clinic in Ecuador that Gary Young interpreted and the Tao Garden Retreat Center the year before so I am looking forward to experiencing Blood Scan and the computer analysis and individual program that the system provides. Well done Gary!!! His trainings continue in India, Asia, China, North America and Australia, so world expansion is in the destiny. When I think of all my travels over the years to teach in the United States, Africa, India, Europe, UK, Canada, Thailand, Australia, Malaysia, Iceland and England, I now think of world domination. Person by person, lets spread the good news of becoming independently healthy.

Another SNM student, Patrick Cusick, has his world goal of one tree for every person on the planet as he travels the planet, visiting countries and creating forests from wasteland. It must have something to do with How Self Healing Heals the Planet!! Recently Patrick asked me to write an article for his ecology newspaper Daily Planet Media. We inspire each other.

MALAYSIAN GRADUATE MR. WONG REPORTS

Mr. Wong Ang Peng, School of Natural Medicine graduate in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, writes of his teaching, travel and work. I taught several trainings in Kuala Lumpur around 1991-93 - the first time a class of 55, and later more advanced students for Iridology and Natural Medicine, a group of 22. Mr. Wong was always there, driving, advising, sitting in on consultations and then eventually arranging the trainings himself. Exceptional practitioners are always exceptional students!! It is the passion, enthusiasm, devotion and willingness to go the extra that makes for success.

I stayed with his family in their home and Mr. Wong joined one of my naturopathy student cleanse retreats at the Institute of Naturopathic & Yogic Sciences in Bangalore, India, and became a strong supporter and teacher of cleanses and fasting, most unusual in Malaysia. His wife and maid had to learn vegetarian recipes! Looks like another trip to Kuala Lumpur coming up in 2010. Here is a picture of Mr. Wong and myself in his family home at the time of his graduation in 1992 as a Master Iridologist.

I have been extremely busy with my practice, my travel to give talks on cardiovascular diseases and cancer in different countries in South East Asia, and different cities in Malaysia. I operate mobile clinics in different places and in Brunei and Philippines too. Hopefully very soon also in Singapore. We see a lot of good results in the chronic cases. Will tell you more when we meet.

Since my busy traveling schedule the last few years I have stopped conducting fasting retreat programmes. However, I will be starting again very soon. I have just purchased a 2-acres of land near Genting Highlands, deep in the forest and mountain. About 2,200 ft altitude that is ideal for fasting. Hopefully in about a year the building is up and we can get the programme running. We expect to have guests from countries in South East Asia, and perhaps from Europe and USA. Meanwhile I will start soon running programs every two months in a rented place near the site which I purchased the land, for the same purpose.

Regarding the two students ready to graduate with advanced training, here is the news about Saroja Theavy Balakrishnan and my son, Michael.

Saroja has been very closely associated with me in giving health talks. She is a good speaker and compliment me very well in our health campaign to educate the masses. She has been understudying and assisting me in my clinical work the last four years, observing me, and helping to explain to patients on nutritional aspects and facts on health. I have been giving her tutorials and explaining the philosophy, theories and concepts of natural therapeutics. I also provide much guidance to her on Naturopathy, Homoeopathy, and Nutrition.

As for my son Michael, he has been busy completing his engineering course and graduating with his bachelor degree in a month's time. Hopefully after his graduation next month he can catch up on his naturopathic studies. Michael also did some clinical training.

SNM GRAD CREATES CONSCIOUSNESS TRAINING

William Fanning is not only an accomplished graduate of the School of Natural Medicine but a very special and dear friend of Farida Sharan. As well as taking all the classes over three years Bill helped Farida create the DVD's first with filming and then with creating them on the computer with DVD Pro software (anyone can do that is a genius!!). He also assisted with iris photography and teaches superb Intro classes in the language of Iridology. Since completion of his studies with SNM Bill has been building his own practice and creating his own teachings woven of all his amazing studies and explorations and self healing: Awareness and The Evolution of Consciousness in Boulder, Colorado. Congratulations Bill, and thank you for all your loving support and sincerity the years you were such an important part of the school.

GROWING YOUNGER WITH SNM GRADS

School of Natural Medicine graduate, Louise Harvey, is a living example of all that our Self-Healing module is about - personal healing, evolution and self realization and success, abundance, creativity, confidence and more!! Check out the changes in her irises below, and keeping up and even ahead (check out the lady in the hat!) of a group of youngsters in Machu Pichu, Peru. Louise started her training in 1998, and has progressed through self healing, graduation and on to major career opportunities with the Gary Young Clinic in Utah and is now enjoying building a practice and teaching in Missoula, Montana. The first iris is 1997 and the second 2005 - and even brighter since then!!!

"To be an educator of Natural Medicine and available to be of service in my practice is one of the greatest JOYS in my life.  For the past 11 years I have been immersed in studying and experiencing my own healing and that of others with whom I have had the privilege of working.

I was sick much of the time as a child and into my adult years taking many medications.  My victory and celebration of my increasing wellness, despite additional years in my life, was my hike to Machu Picchu on the Inka trail in 2008.  I would not have been able to successfully make the trek if I hadn’t been Blessed with the healings of the past 11 years with Natural Practices.

It is wonderful to hear of the different directions SNM Grads take over the years after their graduation. Thais, my own dear younger sister, has a connection with the British Columbian native nation where she has developed unique offerings of healing and support. Thais comes from a lineage of healers and has been around and involved in natural ways of healing for the most part of her 57 years. She has been a member of the Squamish First Nation since 1970 and has been working with First Nations facilitating healing, therapy and education in various aspects since 1992. Aside from her natural ability as a spirit healer and channel, Thais has received a variety of teachings from aboriginal medicine people from both North and South America and incorporates these teachings into her work.

In 1991 she began her professional training in holistic health and healing modalities from The School of Natural Medicine & British School of Iridology where she received diplomas as an iridologist, naturopath and herbalist and did the depth experiential Self Healing Module and developed a practice in Vancouver, B.C. Her career then took a unique branch into the native communities where she is a great inspiration and guide.

Thais became a certified spiritual healer trained through The National Federation of Spiritual Healers and a certified life skills counselor trained in trauma, abuse and addictions, an energy healing practitioner, hot stone massage therapist, crystal healer as well as being trained in Reiki, sound and color therapy and psychic and intuitive development. SPIRIT HEALING
Spirit healing can be very valuable when a person is awakening spiritually; are in or have been in recovery; have been through the residential school system; have been in an accident; have experienced or witnessed trauma of any kind; are in grief and loss; or are feeling out of sorts, scattered and disconnected from the self.                             

Thais’s work is conducted through the language and songs of the spirits-energies that work with and through her as well as combining her own acquired knowledge to best assist the person or persons she is working with. Each session is individual and although everyone’s experience is different people will often say that they feel as if they have come home, that they feel back together or all here, as well as experiencing a feeling of lightness, expansion and peaceful calm.
