SCHOOL OF NATURAL MEDICINE INTERNATIONAL OPENS BEAUTIFUL TEACHING SPACE IN BOULDER

Just as School of Natural Medicine UK gets settled in its new location the perfect place opens up in Boulder, Colorado for all the School of Natural Medicine International activities in our new teaching facility there - a work/live loft and studio in North Boulder, next to the foothills and hiking trails. Built 3 years ago it is the perfect space for the various activities of the school .

I decided to work in cooperation and reciprocity with CSHNS but keep our activities separate. The Boulder school has Private Occupational Status approval for all the classes offered as well as all the UK and European reciprocity accreditation and USA professional organizations memberships.

All students signing up for the February, May/June and October classes and more will attend classes in North Boulder at the beautiful new teaching location. December 1 will be the move in date and I will plan a house warming for all local students, graduates, potential students friends and teachers. Study classes, gatherings and other activities to support local students will continue as well as a consulting clinic for Self-Healing.

All enrollments are to be made through Farida Sharan directly to the Boulder school, and any payments made through Heidi at CSHNS will be transferred over. It is wonderful that Heidi will offer new programs in Clinical Aromatherapy and develop the herbal training as well.

I will be looking for a personal assistant so anyone interested in trading for classes I will be happy to meet with you when I return end of November.

It has been an interesting circle year - leaving Boulder last July, supporting the creation of the UK school for some time and then adventuring in British Columbia while I was writing my latest book. Toward the end of my stay in Vancouver I received a clear feeling I should return to Boulder, and felt it strongly when I was there on my visit as well. So all has been accomplished with divine synchronicity and many blessings of grace. I am very thankful to have found such a perfect location for the school and my other creative works in publishing and consulting.

SNM UK STUDENTS CREATE WIND SEA FLOWER ESSENCE

School of Natural Medicine United Kingdom Naturopathy students attended their Flower Essence Training module near Exeter in Devon, England this past week. Students explored their depth mental, emotional, social, physical, spiritual psyches as they studied the remedies and experienced healing processes using the Bach Flower, FES, Icelandic and other flower remedies.

One highlight of their five days was their trip to the sea at Branscombe, (a charming 12 century lacemaking village with a pre Norman church) was the creation of a group remedy -  Wind Sea Flower Essence.

As well as students from the Southwest of England and London, dear Hedwig arrived once more from South Africa via Austria and France. She has attended classes in America and Iceland as she works toward her diplomas with the certificate trainings. It is always wonderful to see her and hear her share how much her life and health have changed since attending the school.

SNM 2009 Classes begin in the United Kingdom

School of Natural Medicine UK begins the New Year with the ESSENTIAL OILS THERAPIST training in Devon from January 23, 24, 25 for the 3 day weekend class option and then 26, 27 continues for a full 5 day class that completes 1/2 of the training.

Hedwig is coming from Paris for the full 5 day February class. She has completed her Self Healing, is working on her courses and has already attended Reflexology in Iceland (picture to the left) and Summer School in Boulder, Colorado.

Farida will guide the theoretical and practical experiences and trainings to bring students to a deep understanding of the therapeutic anointing and internal use of medicinal grade essential oils. Young Living Essential Oils are used during the training.

Several other students are nearly filling the class from various towns in England. There is still time for those signed up for the 3 day class to extend to 5 days, and a couple of places are left to join the training with either option.

Caroline is coming from Ireland for the full 5 day class. She has already attended Iridology Level I in the UK and Reflexology in Boulder, Colorado and is well advanced with Self Healing with her self and her family.

The first three days comprises the intro to the use of medicinal grade oils, handouts, several Self Healing processes and Holy Anointing. The following two days for the 5 day training option is the Raindrop Technique training where students give and receive a session each day. Three day students will take this class during their second 3 day training if that is the option they choose. As we wish to open the SNM UK trainings to students from Europe and the USA we want to encourage the 5 day trainings. SNM UK IRIDOLOGY TRAINING TAKES OFF

School of Natural Medicine UK students shared a three day, Level I Iridology class, in the heart of Devon, with students coming from London and other counties. All were advanced students of the healing arts, massage therapists, and an osteopath and a lymphatic drainage therapist, so the teachings were offered at an advanced level with natural medicine as well as in relation to their committed Self Healing.

I remember when SNM UK was based in Cambridge students were deeply committed and thorough in their approach to study and this certainly was revealed during our August weekend. Many of our new students wish to complete three months of Self Healing before attending classes so our autumn and winter classes will celebrate depth sharing of experience and embodiment of the teachings and reflect the glowing light of self-care and self-healing. Students learn much from sharing with other students in relation to their iris analysis.

Among the students was Claire Dolby, DO, an osteopath who attended the first SM UK training in 1977 in Cambridge. Her transformation from music teacher to accomplished osteopath, cranial practitioner and international teacher was shared in a blog in May 2008. Check it out for inspiration. Claire says,"My experience in Iridology spans 30 years and I was moved at a very deep level studying the iris and listening to Farida's wealth of inspiration and passion. I see myself adding this precise diagnostic tool to my natural health practice."

Student never imagine where their Self Healing journey will take them. Be prepared for something wonderful when you consciously take the path of personal evolution education through Self-Healing!

This class takes Level II Iridology in October. Students are welcome from all countries, ages, experience and interests for deeply personal training in small classes with accomplished dedicated teachers.

SNM UK - HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF - SERENDIPITY

Over thirty years ago when I arrived in Cambridge, England in February 1977, the first student to sign up in my weekly natural medicine classes was (Claire Savage) now Claire Dolby D.O. & R.C.S.T. After our initial 6 weeks of exploring all aspects of natural medicine from iridology to herbs to reflexology to shiatsu to naturopathy home treatments and more, Claire also took the massage training and worked on her own self healing.

Transformed from a music teacher to a natural healer, Claire went on to take her Osteopathy Degree at the London College of Osteopathy in 1983/87, and then studied with Franklyn Sills in Devon on the very first Cranio-Sacral Training at Curtis Knowle House in Totnes, Devon, where the Karuna center was at the time.

Claire established a clinic over the next years and assisted the Prenatal & Birth Training in Zurich with Ray Castellino DC for the next 5 years. She became senior tutor at Karuna Institute, Devon, around 1995 and since then has taught in the USA, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and Ireland. She now specializes in prenatal and birth work and has a busy childrens' clinic at Marlborough House in Taunton, Somerset, where she sees newborns and older children as it is now recognized that many developmental difficulties in young children and some behavioral patterns may have their root in prenatal or birth experiences.

In CST work with babies and older children Claire explore how their history may be affecting them both physically and emotionally, seeking to resolve early traumatic memories and help the body relax and resolve them, leaving an overall sense of ease and contentment and an increase in health.

I saw Claire in Boulder, Colorado a few years ago when we both attended a workshop with Jaap Van Der Vaal on Embryology. Amazing how things come full circle. Looking forward to sharing all the amazing work on Iridology & Natural Medicine with Claire this summer in the School of Natural Medicine UK in Devon, England - a time for reunion and a time for new connections. SNM UK OPENS WITH SPRING FLOWERS & BIRDSONG

Two weeks in Devon Heaven! Green fields, life bursting hedgerows enlivened by primroses, daffodils, hyacinths and a few rare early bluebells, amidst the spiral unfolding of ferns and leaves that herald the coming of lilies and other glorious wild English flowers and herbs. The air is clear and clean, the sky mostly blue, sunny days, occasional drifting white clouds, one day of light snow flurries and some misty rain. So beautiful!

A main focus was the completion of the approval and accreditation with the Guild of Naturopathic Iridologists - run by former SNM Grads from over 20 years ago and more. This will enable SNM students from all over the world to continue to be accredited by the Guild and for our UK school to be an approved school. This accreditation extends to the European approval system.

We are planning seminars for July and August, October and November and throughout 2008. It is very exciting for SNM to return after twenty years. So many connections. I bumped into a student from 20 years ago, Sara Bunting, while walking in Totnes. She is now in full time practice in Devon and is excited about our upcoming classes. Other people tracked me down as we renewed connections. Everyone says the same thing: there is a great need for a school like ours as there is no depth Naturopathy school in the UK.
