SNM GRADUATE MR. WONG CREATES HEALTH RETREAT – HARMONY VALLY – NEAR KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

I was invited to teach in Kuala Lumpur in the early 90’s and went several times for Iridology and Natural Medicine training seminars organized by Natural Harmony Health Center at the university. Mr. Wong Ang Peng stood out from the other students from the beginning with his bright enthusiasm, tireless energetic support and full participation. At that time he was providing water purification systems for conferences, olympic games, and other large projects.

He invited me to stay with his family so I was able to enjoy home cooked Thai Malay food by his wife and home help, swim with their children at a health club, and experience the Malaysian way of life with his extended family. He took me to vegetarian restaurants in his gold mercedes, and his first question every day was, “Anything I can do for you today?” He was my assistant during consultations, enthusiastically alight with visions of a healthy Malaysia.

During his studies, Dr. Wong came with me and other students to one of the SNM naturopathy retreats at the Institute of Naturopathic & Yogic Sciences in Bangalore, India where he experienced a cleansing fast of nearly 3 weeks (he ran every day and astounded the doctors with his energy) and became a vegetarian. Since then he has become of force throughout Asia, visiting many countries to lecture on health, see clients, and provide water purification systems.

His latest project is the creation of a fasting and rejuvenation center called Harmony Valley, in the cooler mountain areas beyond Kuala Lumpur, and another SNM Naturopathy graduate, Saroja Theavy is assisting, as well as his son. There will be gardens, teaching and treatment rooms, accommodation choices, wonderful views and cool fresh forest air – a winning combination for a fasting cleansing educational retreat center.

Mr. Wong Ang Peng has invited me to teach there yearly near the time of my visits to family in Thailand and India every March, once Harmony Valley is complete. I look forward to the next level of our excellent partnership in bringing the truth of purification, regeneration and transformation to Malaysia. 2003 GRAD REPORTS - CANCER - CURE - CREATIVITY - CONSCIOUSNESS - A JOURNEY OF SELF-HEALING, SURRENDER & JOY

I hadn't heard from Mahisha for a while. I knew she was living abundantly in New Mexico with her dogs, incredible dance with amazing beautiful and magic costumes, weaving, healing and explorations, and I was delighted to receive her news and photos that I am so happy to share with you all.

"I want to thank and honor you Farida for being in agreement to be the Lighted Being to remind me ( and so many others) of why I came back here this time around. To all of you who are now on their journey of self discovery and healing at the guidance and stewardship of Farida - I say to you - 'Fasten your seat belts' and remember that you have asked for transformation.

"When I first came to learn from you, I had no idea of just what I was in for ( I am so smiling in joy at the thought!). I thought that I knew what it was to 'surrender'. I received a 'sentence' of stage 4 Cancer and surviving this is absolute and total surrender to the very core of ones being. A surrender that is experienced is not conceptual. Yes, surgery and an absolute "NO" to chemo or radiation based on having a strong connection with ancient family healing info. So, I surrendered-loudly to the Universe/Spirit. Gave it all away. ( Or so I thought)

"A few weeks after surgery I found myself at a Naturopathic Retreat Center, going through an INTENSE cleanse. The director was a graduate of Farida's school. One night I was reading a book on Iridology and there was a picture of Farida sitting in Lotus in front of a temple in India. This 'picture' came to life, and one thing led to another and within the next few months I found myself as a student with the woman smiling from her soul in front of the temple.

I have also been blessed to have been embraced by two Navajo Elders (Richard, 81 yr. old Taos Pueblo Elder and Road Man and Tyrone,  a 78 yr. old Elder and Road Man, and their families and extended families.) What I experienced in the lodges and their homes  has been nothing short of miraculous. Any thread of 'we are separate' was dissolved. The experiences are a vivid now as my time with them. That's because there really is no such thing as 'time' Past, Present and Future, as all are happening at the same time. This is yet another level in coming deeper and deeper home to self. "

SCHOOL OF NATURAL MEDICINE INTERNATIONAL RECEIVED APPROVAL FROM THE COLORADO STATE BOARD OF HIGHER EDUCATION PRIVATE OCCUPATIONAL SCHOOLS FOR THREE MORE YEARS!!

What a fun day of grace and gratitude as in 22 years I have only been to Denver a few times, so with attending the Board meeting for the School of Natural Medicine International Private Occupational school needed because of a change of location at approval time, I set off for Denver early in the morning with Tamara, dearest best oldest friend, and a teacher in the school every year from the beginning in 1988. The approval was complete in a few minutes, with one question about our module approach, and then we were free to explore.

We started in Larimar Square with a superb cherry flavored coffee and croissant at 10 am in the sunshine at The Market. We decided to walk and bus it so dropping in and out of shops we reached 16th around 11 and took the bus away from LoDo and then walked back to the Union Square station. It was lunch time and everyone was out and about, eating, and sitting, playing chess, walking, a lovely spring day. Then we took another bus to the Denver Aquarium where we enjoyed lunch while watching sharks, barracudas and other fish swim about. Great lunch by the way!

Then a little more shopping, browsing, walking and it was time to go home. I feel like Denver is more in my radar now. Nothing like walking and bussing around a city to get to know it. A most enjoyable relaxed day with a best friend during a day of grace and gratitude. I am planning to take my granddaughter to the Aquarium for a swim with the fishes experience this July.

OPEN HOUSE MAGIC BLENDS STRANDS OF DESTINY

The Open House at the new North Boulder location of the School of Natural Medicine International demonstrated once again principles of the universe that draw souls together, mixing and blending, introducing, reuniting in the moment of now, in new conversations and new connections. You truly see that spontaneous resonance is perfection in action.

Among the highlights of the day: Dilarom, a physician from Tajikistan now studying to be a Naturopath, meets Helen, from Russia, a graduate building bridges with her studies in ultrasound with natural medicine - the link - they both speak Russian! What fun to hear them talk and share. Helen will be our Anatomy & Physiology teacher for classes next winter and she is a most loving and brilliant teacher with a depth of clinical practice and skill - lucky students to have someone like that to make a most often tedious subject based on memorization come alive! Helen also shared about her studies of and the developments in ultrasound sonography, the safest way to get internal body views in the medical world.

A new student, Erin, who moved to Denver to be near the school, scored a job she loves at Hannah's Herb Shop, and it looks like she is well on the way to finding the ideal place to live in Boulder. She plans on attending the herbal training in April. Welcome, Erin.

Elizabeth, our student born in Denver but lived nearly a decade in Saudi Arabia, also got to meet Dilarom and share stories.

Robbin, a student of several years ago, was excited to share her work in the legal system, as she trained to be a Abuse, Alienation, Addiction Family Counselor and is opening new solutions and winning cases as she is protecting women in the Boulder legal system. Her compassionate heart and wide experience combined with depth research is making her an advocate for truth. Beautiful to hear how she has applied her training to a field in great need of updating. As I say to all students, you never know what you are being prepared to receive, or prepared to do, when you enter and participate in Self Healing, the foundation of all our trainings.

As in all open houses, students, guests, inquirers, graduates, came and went, and our delightful young students, Renaya and Monika, added their joy, laughter and enthusiasm to the day. Kathy came by with her delightful young son of two years who gave us much joy.

Our beloved herbal teacher and graduate, Heidi, shared up to date news on her Earth Pharmaceuticials gardens, plantings, herbs, classes in Aurora, and Tara, my assistant and a graduate of the school from 15 years ago, was excited to hear the news as this is her great love, as she partnered at Shining Waters Herbal Gardens near Longmont, Colorado after she studied in SNM.

April will see the beginning of the monthly Gatherings, open to all, but with the addition of a different hour of focus teaching each time, a wonderful way for students and graduates to get together informally and a warm atmosphere for inviting potential students to meet other students and teachers and experience the teachings. As the current tsunami of School of Natural Medicine International enrollments come in I am in touch with new students in Israel, Canada, Guatamala, Australia, USA, and England. As a teacher I am delighted with the passion, confidence and courage of the new students to commit to a path of study and self-healing. Students look for an authentic teacher and a teacher looks for authentic students - with so much personal connection all these new students represent excellent win win connections.

Eva, Megan, Matthew, Daniel, Dila, Patricia, another Megan, Hannele, Nannette, Lisa, Jennifer, Robert, Angie, Cassie, Kristina, Becky, Katrina, are committed and others are hovering waiting to settle into commitment. Beautiful to watch the new wave of students connecting from so many parts of the world.

Several are wanderers and explorers, already cut loose from familiar moorings and ready to land and begin a training to creative meaningful conscious creative livelihood. One is a physician from Tajikistan wanting to train in natural medicine and open a center with her daughter. Another is a Canadian on a grant to build her own practice. Some have attended Canada classes this summer, others are new. Most are beginning with home study e courses and self healing to prepare for classes.

The greatest courage is the courage to be yourself, to move beyond self limitation, family limitation, cultural limitation and create a path for your own life.

The beautiful part of all these students enrolling now is that they will gather in February and June and October in 2010 and meet and share together and make lifetime friends as they study. Some are moving to Boulder, Colorado to be near the school. Together they will create community that transcends time and spaceas with our virtual media connections we share worlds like never before.
