FLOWER ESSENCE STUDENT SENDS APPRECIATION

Terrilcrown_3
Hello most lovely Farida!  You have been in my thoughts and connections very regularly since I came to visit in the summer to take the Flower Essence Practitioner Training.

I love reading your blog and following all your travels and experiences that you generously share!  Thank you so much for that.

I am definitely planning on coming to study the oils some time – I really got so much out of the flower essence workshop not only the training itself but making contact with you and all the other lovely people in the workshop. The week was really so cleansing and renewing and has definitely help set me on a new path.

I hope you are well and blissfully connected. Please say hi to everyone I know for me!  Much love and light to you -- until we meet again, Terril, San Diego, California

SPRING IS NEW STUDENT CLASS COMMITMENT TIME

Achala_707b Achala has been progressing with self-healing on many levels and making positive strong lifestyle changes. It was wonderful to receive her commitment to attend training 2008.

"Dear Farida~Thanks for the email about connection.  What a wonderful thing for me to hear right now.  I want to let you know that I am planning on coming to the Master Herbalist course in June!  I am excited to take this next step on my path.

So it was great to get the encouragement, and to be reminded that it is a special opportunity that I have now, in the present to receive this learning.  I was just realizing last night , that nothing stays the same, or stays open forever.  What a cosmic day!!!  Lots of Love~Achala"

ENROLLMENT IS A PERSONAL PROCESS AT SNM

The exploration and enrollment journey of a new student is a respectful, warm and welcoming process in the School of Natural Medicine. This lovely letter from Megan, an inquirer who has emailed, telephoned and visited the school from Philadelphia, shows her enthusiasm and grounded  personal approach to exploring and discovering what is right for her. We welcome Megan into the school. A sense of rightness on both sides - she is right for the school and the school is right for her. Perfect match!! She plans to move to Boulder and open to a new way of living. Her passion to study the healing arts provides the courage to make a change and commit to a path. Her process is exactly right for our school. Create the living connection!

"Hi Farida. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me last Wednesday. Talking with you and being at the student gathering opened many doors for me.  I would like to begin the Self-Healing Module.  I feel that it might help me transition out of old life patterns and into newer, healthier life patterns.  Moving to Boulder is kind of a big step for me being that I have never lived this far from my hometown and my family.  But I feel it is what I need to do to focus on my life as a healer.   Much Peace,   Megan

STUDENT CREATIVITY TO BUILD AUTHENTIC LIVELIHOOD

Noella_fair

Lauren, a Boulder student of School of Natural Medicine Essential Oils & Divinity Touch, mailed me this picture of Noella and her booth at the Nexus holistic fair in Boulder. She also has a booth in the Wednesday and Saturday Boulder Farmer Markets in downtown Boulder from  April through October -  creative enterprise!!!

Noella is a beautiful example of a multi talented student opening her creativity to develop aromatherapy and oil products, CD's of her songs. sacred massage sessions with her friend Marie where they both work on you with oils and aromas and healing touch. Success is built on this magic combination of  skill, confidence and creative joy grounded by solid business sense.

Noella is also studying business, marketing, working on a website and producing a new CD. This is the kind of energy that builds success and a solid foundation for future abundance and a creative authentic life. Students - be inspired!!!

DIVINITY TOUCH REFLEXOLOGY STUDENT APPRECIATION

Reflexrebecca

Sweet Farida, Thinking of you and wishing to send you a greeting. I feel I never really got to thank you properly for sharing all you have with me. I feel so very blessed to have had the opportunity to cross your path in my life and to feel inspired by your life, your gifts, and your presence. I guess it has been a year now since I first came to your school, and although there is tons of work to be done, it feels so good to have taken steps on the path my heart directs. When I first came I hadn't even heard the work tincture and now I use them regularly and have even prepared one or two. The space and people that occupy the place you have made possible in the school in Boulder have given me the love and support I needed to begin my journey within myself to find true healing. I have such a deep love you and the others I have spent time especially during the reflexology training. I have learned so much and have a joy in my heart from these memories.

Right now I am in the islands off Baja California working on an adventure cruise ship. It is so beautiful and tranquil with lots of nature hikes on shore and whale watching....and of course my favorite, the dolphins, and more stars than I have ever seen in my life. It feels really good to be in nature. I'm realizing how much it feeds me and I am so much calmer and peaceful. The structure is also really good for me as well and I'm finding time to get into more meditation and yoga.

I also went on a Reiki course with Mayan (SNM ND graduate in Crestone, Colorado) before I left Colorado. She is such a great lady and I was glad to spend some time with her. She has a nice light. (see June blog newsletter archive)

Just wanted to check in and let you know I'm good and you are wonderful and to make sure to thank you for being you. Much love and light, Rebecca

DAILY PLANET MEDIA INSPIRED BY SNM 2004 STUDENT

Patrickblog

DAILY PLANET MEDIA GROUP Publisher and Editor, Patrick Cusick, for DPMG Ltd., attended the SNM 2004 Summer School and completed an extensive Self Healing module. He also videoed the Summer School and made possible our wonderful Elements of Life and Iridology DVD's. This great picture shows Patrick with his iris mandala - note those leaf shaped iris lacuna and the beautiful blue and green of our planet - clearly seeing through Patrick's eyes inspires us to a healthier planet.

I was in Chiang Mai yesterday and heard someone call my name, turned around and it was Patrick. We caught up over tea and I learned about his new venture, planting billions of trees all over the world, one for every person on the planet - what a goal!! Patrick also has a healing center in the Hmong hill tribe mountain area near Mae Rim, just north of Chiang Mai, called Mon Doi.

These days Patrick is traveling the globe, with Daily Planet Media, visiting governments and supporters about reforestation and representing the Mui Tai boxing work as a governor. You never know what a SNM student will get up to. Well done Patrick.

I highly recommend you checking this out and keeping abreast of the planetary health news.

SNM STUDENT JAPAN ADVENTURE

Chriswmtfuji_2

Chris, our Washington DC student, almost ready to graduate as a Naturopath, reports on his latest adventure - climbing to the top of Mt. Fuji in Japan.

Dearest Farida...I love the blog newsletter.  I can't imagine not receiving the beautiful testimonials!  Along with my experiences, it strengthens my knowing of the process and efficacy of natural healing.  What a treat you and your school are!

Just arrived back from a trip to Japan.  I spent a great deal of time in the Onsens (natural hot springs), ate copious amounts of miso soup, seaweeds, fermented foods, green teas, and the occasional cooked meal (like tofu dishes, and too much rice!).

I enjoyed a spiritual pilgrimage up Mt. Fuji-san, the soaring peak venerated as the home of a fire god, later the dwelling of a Shinto goddess of flowing trees, and since Buddhist times, the abode of Dainichi Nyorai, the Buddha of All-Illuminating Wisdom.  The trip was arduous (4,841 vertical feet!) yet satisfying, as I meditated upon the spirit of the venerated mountain.

Going to get into deeper study with Kava Kava, as I've had numerous discussions with co-workers who have anxiety-related insomnia.  Will report on my findings!

I love what you're doing.  I hope to join you again for one of your classes.  When the time is right, it will manifest.  I think of you fondly EVERYDAY, dear teacher.

LOUISE HARVEY SNM MONTANA GRAD

Louisehb

June 2007. I just returned from Montana and the Living in Process training where I visited with our beloved SNM ND graduate, Louise Harvey. I spent delightful time at her home, enjoyed a meal, visited her clinic (enjoy the pictures of her desk and iris camera and also her beautiful chakra mandalas and her oil visionary chart. Louise drove me to Helena that night and stayed over at the Boulder Hot Springs, so we enjoyed much sharing, soaking in the hot springs and vegetarian meals. The fragrance of oils will emanate through their retreat center as I anointed an elder during our art share night and everyone remarked on the beautiful energy and aromas.

Louise graduated around 2000 and after building a private practice was hired by Young Living Essential Oils founder, Gary Young, to be the resident Naturopath & Iridologist at his Utah clinic for the last couple of years it was open before Gary moved on to Ecuador. Louise co-taught the first Essential Oils I & II with Farida. Her irises, shown on this blog, are a testament and an inspiration for all self-healers. Yes, the irises do change with deep purification.
