In the School of Natural Medicine there are ebbs and flows in student enrollment, waves of students rise on the horizon, become companions on their study journey and friends for life, and then ripple out into the world to create their work and inspire others. There are often themes to certain groups, similarities and synchronicities, like this summer with the School of Natural Medicine International trainings in Vancouver I enjoyed the mix of international students, from Philippines, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia. Sweden, Hungary, mixing with the Canadian and American students.
Now that the autumn is the interactive field for gathering students for February, May/June and October next year for the full and abundant offerings in Boulder, Colorado and Devon, UK, I find I am enrolling students from Guatamala, Australia, Europe as well as Canada and the United States and including students from the summer. Fascinated by this process for so many years I sense the divine hand in how the students are chosen. Somehow students are activated by the website and blog and sense a truth and opportunity to dive deeply into life and walk a path of self-healing that will bring them to living the teachings and becoming an authentic guide and living example for others.
Yes we teach the highest most conscious level of professional skills, but based on the unique creativity and gifts of each person. Even so the strongest offering myself and the school gives is the willingness to be in relationship with each student, being there to talk, email, and know each other. In this busy world run by profit to make the main focus of the school the willingness to be there for each student is a rare gift. Those that recognize that gift and its value become part of our living loving network that after 35 years is a worldwide influence that each student ripples into the world.
